"I was on a day off to spend some time with my wife Becky and 2 year old Evie. In the afternoon we went to Fineshade Woods in Corby for the Gruffalo trail, a picnic and some ice cream. We turned up and I made a comment on how empty the car park was (being a school day probably).
After our walk we headed to the cafe for some ice cream and Becky and Evie walked ahead, I said we should grab the changing bag and some bits from the car just incase. So I went back to the car to grab the bits.
I literally shut the car door and then this giant tornado / dust devil formed in front of my eyes - it went from the ground upwards and starting spinning really aggressively. I was in shock more than anything. I tried to shout Becky and Evie but they were too far gone.
The tornado vanished and then immediately another one formed, it was at this point I grabbed my phone - got a picture and then took the video. I was speechless and just looking at it in front of me, it was HUGE!
I just didn’t want it to hit my car (being one of the only cars in the whole car park) - it actually started coming my way and I nearly ran for it as I had no idea what sort of damage it could cause!!!
Becky and Evie managed to catch a glimpse too as they heard it!
It was an absolutely incredible sight, something I’ve never ever had the pleasure to see before.
