- Description:On May 16, 2026 in Tianjin, China, security video captured a mishap involving a cat and its owner inside a house. In the video, a woman is adjusting the recliner section of a couch while a cat is lying underneath it. Without noticing the cat below, the woman continues changing the recliner’s position, causing the cat to be pulled along and briefly trapped underneath the moving section. After hearing the cat cry out, the woman immediately stops adjusting the recliner and attempts to move it back, but the mechanism does not return properly. Instead, she tries lifting part of the couch, but one of her hands is still holding an electric hand massager, making it difficult for her to lift the furniture properly. After putting the massager aside, she successfully raises the recliner and frees the cat. Moments later, the cat is released safely from underneath, and the owner pets the cat after the incident. The footage captures a tense but ultimately safe rescue inside the home.
