- Description:Carlethia "Carlee" Nichole Russell, the 25-year-old nursing student who went missing on Thursday night after calling 911 to report a male toddler walking along an Alabama highway, USA, has returned home. The search for Russell had commenced immediately after her distress call, with search parties in full force. @loganwadams captured a video police looking for Carlee Russell near hoover/Bessemer exit on July 14th, 2023. However, she was found safe and sound on Saturday night, prompting police to take her to a hospital for evaluation. The details of her disappearance and reappearance are now part of an ongoing investigation, according to a statement from Hoover Police Lt. Daniel Lowe. On her way home from work in Birmingham, Russell had stopped to pick up food when she made the emergency call about the child she had seen. Subsequent attempts to contact her during the call were unsuccessful, leading to her family losing communication with her. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Russell's car, wig, and cellphone abandoned, but there were no signs of her or the child. Up until her return, the 911 call remained the only report of a child on the interstate, leaving officials with no further leads on the mysterious case.
