Unfazed by the situation, Makarov sprang into action, tripping the thief and attempting to restrain him. A woman who rushed to the scene managed to wrest the phone from the criminal's grasp. Although the thief initially managed to escape, he was later apprehended by the police. The Moscow Region Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs promptly opened a criminal case against the offender for attempted robbery with the use of non-life-threatening violence.
