- Description:Residents of Poludni village in the Kinel-Cherkassy district of the Samara region, Russia, were evacuated as floodwaters inundated their area. During the rescue operation on April 7, 2024 a boat carrying two children capsized, but thanks to their life vests, they were saved. Despite the organized evacuation starting the next day, everyone was rescued without injuries. The mother of one of the children expressed gratitude, especially to those who ensured the children wore their vests. Now, as they recover from the ordeal, the community is thankful for their safety amidst the flooding crisis.
